Social music player TuneWiki debuted an updated version of its mobile app for Nokia phones that lets you bring lyrics to your music and browse popular songs from friends and around the world.
When you start playing music from your library, it sends the lyrics in sync with the song and can automatically translate them to your native language.
You can follow what your friends are playing or what they’ve played in the last hour or day and create a playlist from that. You can also browse for the most popular songs in other countries like China.
One of the more ambitious mobile social music players, the Milpitas, Calif.-based startup was one of the top 10 winners of Google’s Android Challenge and reached the top spot in Blackberry’s app store. It showed off its mobile app today at DEMOfall 09, the technology conference co-produced by VentureBeat.
