In addition to the worldwide launch of its new Timeline feature, Facebook is rolling out Timeline on its mobile site as well as its Android application, the company announced today.

Timeline, which was announced at the f8 conference in September, exchanges your profile page for a scrapbook-inspired listing of your personal history through photos, video, profile changes, status updates and more.

As for the mobile version of Timeline, it starts with your unique cover photo, followed by some of your posts, photos and life events as they’ve unfolded throughout your life (or at least as you’ve unfolded them on Facebook). You can also swipe photo albums and other posts horizontally for quick viewing. This doesn’t actually take you away from the Timeline, as you can continue scrolling down (or up) once you’re finished looking at each one. This horizontal swipe functionality is also applied to maps, top photos, subscribers and a few other things, according to Facebook.

Neither myself nor other VentureBeat staffers have been granted access to the mobile Timeline feature, but Facebook said the rollout should happen for everyone in the next day or so. As for when these features will come to the iOS app, Facebook told VentureBeat that it’s coming in the next update.
