This fall, Sony will release a PlayStation Vita bundled with Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and a PlayStation 3 bundled with Assassin’s Creed III.
“When you link [the Vita and the PlayStation games], you will unlock Connor’s tomahawk, an exclusive character skin, a multiplayer character, and a complete upgrade of ammunition pouches,” Sony Computer Entertainment of America’s chief executive Jack Tretton said during the E3 press conference.
In addition to Liberation, the Vita bundle will include the first “crystal white” version of the portable hardware (wifi only, no 3G) and a 4GB memory card.

The PlayStation 3 bundle will include new PS3 hardware, a copy of Assassin’s Creed III, and exclusive DLC. Tretton did not specify the size of the PS3’s hard drive or the nature of the exclusive DLC. According to this product page, the hard drive will be 320GB.
All of this news came coupled with a first look at Liberation in motion. The portable game looks much like its console brothers, but features a female assassin of African decent performing murders in New Orleans.
Additionally, new Assassin’s Creed III gameplay revealed the first ship-to-ship sea combat in the game. The protagonist Connor steer his boat and yelled fire as the waves knocked the sailboat from side to side. It looked very impressive.
Both games and bundles will hit store shelves on October 30.
