The revolution will be painted. Titan Books shares a few never-before-seen pieces from its upcoming hardcover edition of 'The Art of Assassin's Creed III.'

The Art of Assassin's Creed III

Some of more enduring images in American art center on the Revolutionary War. But most of them missed the eagle-hooded assassin in white who turned the course of history.

Graphic novel and genre publisher Titan Books aims to correct that (albeit with the assistance of a few Canadians). They’ve pulled together a hefty collection of never-before-seen concept art for “The Art of Assassin’s Creed III,” a 144-page hardcover due to release alongside the game Tuesday.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin’s Creed III sees the centuries-old war between the Order of Assassins and the Knights Templar reach the New World during the American Revolution. Accordingly, the book’s art reflects locations and events as diverse as Philadelphia during the Continental Congress, the snow-covered wilderness, and major battles from America’s war for independence.
