Expect to see short, repeating videos all over the place now — the Twitter-owned firm announced today that you can now embed any Vine video on the web.
It’s a small update, but it opens up the Vine ecosystem in a dramatic way. Instead of being limited to the Vine app, Twitter posts, and standalone Vine web pages, you can now share the videos on your blogs and websites as well.
You can embed any publicly available Vine video use the button at the bottom of their Vine page, or via the “…” button in the Vine app. Embeds are available in a “Simple” style with no border, and a more traditional “Postcard” style. (Ironically, WordPress VIP doesn’t allow us to embed Vine videos just yet.)

“When we launched Vine, we described posts as ‘little windows into the people, settings, ideas and objects that make up your life,'” wrote Vine co-founder and general manager Dom Hofmann. “With today’s update, you can display them almost anywhere.”
Basically, if you thought Vine’s short videos resembled animated GIFs before, prepare to feel vindicated.
