If BlueStacks’ latest numbers are any indication, lots of people are interested in bridging the gap between the smartphone and PC.
BlueStacks announced today that its Android App Player has been downloaded 10 million times since its launch last March. Over four million of those installs came during the first quarter of this year, thanks largely to high-profile partnerships with PC manufacturers like Lenovo and Asus.
BlueStacks’ “LayerCake” technology lets users run Android apps on the much larger screens of their Macs and Windows PCs and tablets. And while that sounds like a fairly niche application, the niche is obviously a sizable one.

Founded in 2009, BlueStacks was recently joined by VC firm Intel Capital, which invested an undisclosed amount in the company back in March.
