This morning, Rockstar Games released the first trailer featuring Grand Theft Auto V gameplay. The video shows a massive world with a variety of features, and it all looked beautiful — almost too beautiful.
Many gamers are doubting that the footage came from a current-gen system, but Rockstar just confirmed that it captured all of the gameplay from the PlayStation 3 version.
“Just to clarify for those asking, this particular video was captured with footage from the PS3 version of the game,” reads a post from Rockstar on its website.

If that’s PS3, imagine what a next-gen version would look like.
Currently, Grand Theft Auto V is only scheduled for the Xbox 360 and PS3. No PC or next-gen release is on the schedule. The game is gigantic and probably very expensive to make, so Rockstar wants to focus its efforts on the biggest audience, which is current-gen gamers.
