Apple is speeding along with its iOS 7 development. The company released its fifth update to the system today, breaking from its regular time table to push out the version a week after its fourth update.
This latest version of iOS 7 is said to have new features as well as fixed bugs. Developers can download iOS 7 on approved devices by visiting Apple’s developer center.
Apple had a three-week hiatus between its third and fourth beta releases, likely due to a hack on its developer center system. In July, a Turkish researcher found 13 different holes in the center, and in order to prove the seriousness of the problem, he stole information for over 100,000 developers. He then reported the bugs to Apple, which shut down the developer center and said it was completely rebuilding it.
Updates to the iOS 7 beta were probably held because of this. The company announced yesterday, however, that the majority of the developer center will be up by the end of this week.

Apple announced the new operating system at its Worldwide Developer Conference, saying it would be available in the fall. The company is making a number of design changes in iOS 7, including a much more colorful scheme, rounded icons, and new features such as a Control Center. Those with an iPhone 4 or later can use iOS 7, as well as those with an iPad 2 or later, an iPad Mini, and the fifth generation iPod Touch.
