Blizzard’s long-running World of Warcraft is getting a new expansion, and it’s sprucing up some of the massively multiplayer online role-playing games most dated aspects.
The studio announced Warlords of Draenor during its BlizzCon event today in Anaheim, Calif. This is the latest expansion to World of Warcraft, and it adds new quests, raises the level cap, and enables players to travel to remade, improved zones:
The add-on also improves the character models for many of the older races, includes the new world of Draenor, and offers the a personal garrison that you can build and upgrade. Warlords of Draenor also introduces new monsters, player-versus-player zones, and dungeons.

World of Warcraft debuted in 2004. It quickly grew in popularity, and it now the world’s most played subscription-based MMO. While its subscriber numbers have fallen in recent years, the title still boasts 7.6 million paying accounts.
Warlords of Draenor marks the fifth expansion to World of Warcraft. The most recent expansion prior to this is Mists of Pandaria, which debuted Sept. 2012.
