Eaze launches an Uber for marijuana

We can’t imagine why, but some people who buy medical marijuana may feel too lethargic to pick up the product at a store. Fortunately, technology was made for these kinds of problems.* And a startup called Eaze has a solution. With just a few taps from your thumb, you’ll have a friendly caregiver delivering choice nuggets to your doorstep.

It’s Uber for medical marijuana, and it just launched in the San Francisco Bay Area.

“We want to deliver a more professional service, to make it easier and faster for the patient,” said Eaze Solutions CEO and former Yammer sales director, Keith McCarty.

Eaze displays local buds in an easy-to-sort format. “Pick from Eaze’s selection of high quality top shelf strains. Set strain and quantity in just two taps of a finger,” boasts the company page.

Of course, the real business opportunity for Eaze is in markets where recreational marijuana is legal, such as Colorado, where the pot industry has already created thousands of jobs. The company has plans to expand into Boulder.

Eventually, Eaze expects to bring in venture capital investors.

And there’s got to be at least one fast food restaurant that would want to offer lucrative deals with this kind of app.
