China is refusing access to yet another website. China has been blocking the privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo for a few weeks, CEO Gabriel Weinberg said in a tweet.
He also said that he wasn’t sure why the site was being blocked.
In June, China blocked Google and Dropbox. Some companies, like Apple, have moved all servers handling Chinese citizen data to China in order to stay in the good graces of Chinese officials.
DuckDuckGo is a search engine that does not track its users. The company has not yet returned a request for comment.
