The latest version of Google’s sleek Chromebook Pixel laptop computer is now available to purchase.
The device can pack either an Intel Core i5 chip, 8GB of RAM, and 32GB of solid-state drive (SSD) storage, or alternatively an Intel Core i7 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 64GB of SSD storage. And not only that — these laptops boast 12 hours of battery life.
The device features a 12.85-inch display, weighing in at 3.3 pounds. It features a touchscreen and a 720P high-definition wide-angle camera.
“The Chromebook Pixel is available for purchase starting today in the U.S. on the new Google Store for $999 and $1299 for the LS version,” Google director of consumer hardware Andrew Bowers wrote in a blog post on the news today. “Come check it out, and see what else is in store.”

Google came out with the initial version of the device in 2013. Interestingly, today that original Pixel is not visible on the Google Store.
But hey, for the moment you can get free shipping on the devices from the Google Store, which Google introduced today as a place to explore and buy devices. Previously, the Google Play Store lumped devices together with apps and games.
