And he shall smite down the milestones.

The multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) Smite has passed 10 million total players, developer Hi-Rez Studios announced today. The free-to-play game is available on PC and is in an open beta on Xbox One.

That’s certainly an impressive number, but Smite needs to boost these numbers sixfold if it wants to be the MOBA king. League of Legends has 67 million people playing it a month. You can learn more about Smite and its competitors, including Dota 2 and Heroes of the Storm, at our MOBA comparison story.

While most MOBAs have a top-down view, Smite is a third-person game. It’s also one of the rare games in its genre to have a console version.
