Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed today that the company’s flagship music service, Apple Music, now has 17 million paying subscribers — up from 15 million in June.
This new stat arrives as Apple seeks to correct the mistakes it made when the Music service first launched last year. The company announced the news during its annual iPhone keynote in San Francisco.
While 17 million may sound like a lot for a two-year-old service, the figure is dwarfed by Spotify, which now reportedly has 39 million paying subscribers.
