Burberry has created a Facebook Messenger bot to show off threads that will be on the runway in the coming days, as part of London Fashion Week.
Tommy Hilfiger also used a Facebook Messenger bot last week to launch a new fashion collection.
Though the Burberry bot is able to accomplish basic functions, like showing customers new clothes to buy, it also has some features that make it a bit different from the average commercial bot available today.

For one thing, the Burberry bot will let you watch the fashion show being held at Makers House in London. It also tells users about the new collection, which was inspired by “Orlando,” a book by British author Virginia Woolf.

In sharing that inspiration, Burberry bot gives people the choice to press buttons and navigate a maze, finding images of the new fashion collection along the way.
The Burberry bot also gives users the option to speak with a human if they have any questions.
The bot does not appear to take advantage of the new feature added last Monday that allows customers to make purchase with a Messenger bot. Instead, purchases are carried out on the Burberry website.
