Asus has unveiled a new line of its Republic of Gamers (ROG) computers at the IFA show in Berlin. The products include the ROG Chimera gaming laptop with a wide-view display and the ROG Strix curved 35-inch gaming monitor.
In doing so, the company is joining a bunch of computer makers revealing their fall line-ups for hardware at the IFA event. Others include Dell, Acer, and Lenovo.
Asus said the Chimera is the first gaming laptop with an ultra-responsive 144Hz wide-view display and a 7-millisecond gray-to-gray response time. The company said it delivers smooth and seamless visuals never seen before on a laptop. The laptop has a 17.3-inch full HD display with Nvidia G-Sync technology for smooth graphics.
It uses the Intel Core i7-7820HK processor and it has Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics. It also has built-in Xbox Wireless, which enables gamers to connect their Xbox accessories to the PC without the need for multiple adapters.

The ROG Strix XG35VQ is a 35-inch UWQHD (3440-by-1440) curved monitor with a 100 hertz refresh rate and a 21:9 aspect ratio.
Meanwhile, Asus also showed the ROG Zephyrus, a laptop with Nvidia 1080 graphics with Max-Q design; a 7th Generation Intel Core processor; an optional 120-hertz wide-view display; the ROG Active Aerodynamics System to maintain cooling and acoustic efficiency; and an RGB keyboard in a 16.9–17.9mm chassis.
The ROG Strix GL702ZC is a gaming laptop that is the first to feature the AMD Ryzen 7 processor, which is competitive with Intel’s top chips for the first time in a decade.
Other laptops unveiled include the ROG GX800 gaming laptop; the ROG Strix SCAR Edition; the ROG Strix Hero Edition; the ROG Strix GL503 and GL703; the ROG Strix GL702VI; the ROG Strix GL702ZC; and the ROG Strix GL702VI. Asus also showed off a number of displays, desktops, and motherboards. And is showed off its Asus Windows Mixed Reality headset for virtual reality experiences.
