Developer Disruptor Beam announced today that it is bringing characters, ships, and stories based on Star Trek: Discovery to its mobile and PC game Star Trek: Timelines. Star Trek: Discovery is the first new show in the franchise since Enterprise went off the air in 2005. The new content will come out at the same time as the show, which debuts on September 24 on CBS All Access.

Timelines is a free-to-play game that came out for iOS and Android in early 2016. It features characters and ships from across all Star Trek shows and eras. Players can spend real money to randomly unlock crew members and ships. This new content based on Discovery could bring in new players or re-engage lapsed ones.

Disruptor Beam has made its name working on licensed games based off TV shows. It is also behind Game of Thrones: Ascent and The Walking Dead: March to War. The studio raised $8.5 million earlier this year to continue funding its social-games empire.

Timelines also launched a major update this week, which it calls Version 3.0. It brings a new user interface and rewards system for ship battles, and it adds new long-duration missions.
