One of the first big AAA release coming in 2015 is next week’s Evolve. The game is more or less a faster paced version of monster hunter, pitting 4 player controller hunters against a 5th player controlled monster. The game releases this coming Tuesday, February 10th for $59.99 on Steam.
Luckily for PC gamers, preorder deals are now standard fare. Today UK-based digital retailer GMG launched a “VIP Gaming Sale” which makes a 25% discount on all editions of the game. Just login or create an account to see the discounts.

Day 1 Patch
Besides the 26GB pre-load, you’ll also have to contend with a 3GB Day 1 patch for the title, which will be available just before release. As announced by Turtle Rock, there’s numerous balancing tweaks implemented thanks to the recent open beta back in January, and there are performance optimization in the form of level-loading and network bandwidth. Full details can be read here.
Evolve Preorder Bonus
Preordering Evolve also gets you a few perks like an additional Monster Character and a special “Savage Goliath Skin”. The Goliath is the first playable Monster in Evolve with a mix of close quarters and distance attacks to use (mostly close combat orientated).
The “new monster character” has been named the “Behemoth” and to redeem you’ll get an additional code to enter on Steam, and will receive for free when it’s available.
If you’re absolutely sure you’ll be playing near day one, preordering and preloading may be a good idea as the Monster Expansion Pack will retial for $14.99 after release.
