The Super Bowl is the biggest football game of the year, an event that’s watched the world over — and now, even beyond.
NASA’s Mission Control at the Johnson Space Center in Houston will beam the game to the six astronauts aboard the International Space Station, the space agency revealed to Space.com Friday.
The space station, which itself is the size of a football field, may not have the luxury of offering the crew regular Super Bowl snacks and a huge TV, but at least they’ll get a chance to watch the game.

This won’t be the first time the space station crew has had the privilege of watching a huge sporting event while orbiting the planet, either. Last year, NASA also provided the space station with broadcasts of the 2012 Olympic games.
