It’s been just over three weeks since the launch of the iPhone 3G and the 2.0 software for the iPhone. If there is one thing that everyone can agree on, it’s that the software is fairly buggy.
Today comes the first update: Version 2.0.1 which simply says it contains “Bug fixes.” It’s a rather large 249.2 MB file (at least on the Mac), hopefully that means it contains a lot of fixes.
To get the update simply plug in your iPhone, start up iTunes and hit the “Check for Update” button.

Update: So far many people including myself are noticing that the iPhone’s syncing completion time has decreased greatly. This is a very welcome change, though having an option not to back up all application data each time would still be nice.
Others have said that the Contacts application is responding much quicker than it previously was in the 2.0 software.
Update 2: The keyboard definitely seems to have a bit less lag in popping up and in general seems more responsive.
There are also reports that the movement between main screens (which store your icons) is cleaner. To me this seems hard to tell. Also, others have said moving apps between these screens seems to be easier, but it still could use some work in my opinion.
