Bitmob Wants You: To write about L.A. Noire

Psst. Hey. Yeah, you. I seen ya pokin' your nose around this city, actin' tough, tryin' ta make a name for yourself. You want fame? Glory? Well, we can help you with that…for a price.

L.A. Noire

OK, we're not actually charging you anything. We just want you to write about L.A. Noire, Rockstar's tale of daring detectives in a corrupt City of Angels.

We're not looking for just a standard review, although you're free to do that if you want. But L.A. Noire is a pretty unique game, and we'd like to see our Bitmobbers tap into that creativity.

Here are a few questions to get you thinking:

  • How does the atmosphere of 1940s post-war Los Angeles affect the game?
  • What do protagonist Cole Phelps' partners think of his meteoric rise through the LAPD?
  • How would it feel to be a suspect, trying to lie your way out of a crime?
  • What would happen if you applied L.A. Noire's interrogation mechanics to other games?

The more creative your idea, the better. Here's how to join in:

1. Write any article related to L.A. Noire. Keep it concise — about 200-400 words should do it, but you're welcome to go longer if you choose.

2. Make sure you put L.A. Noire in the tags for your article — and don't forget to tag any other games you mention.

3. Submit your article to the Mobfeed by Friday, June 3, 2011. We'd like to feature your articles before the E3 rush, so hopefully that's enough time to finish the campaign.

Now get to work, gumshoe. And remember…if anyone asks, you never saw us.
