Xbox One and PC gamers don’t have to wait much longer to dive into BioWare’s sci-fi epic. It’s available to download now to anyone who subscribes to Electronic Arts premium-subscription service, and you can start playing it tomorrow (although some people are having luck getting it started today).
Mass Effect: Andromeda is on EA Access and Origin Access on the Xbox One and PC, respectively. While the full game will debut on those platforms as well as PlayStation 4 on March 21, the Access version will give players a 10-hour trial of the role-playing shooter that has players looking to settle a new world for humanity in the Andromeda galaxy.
To download the trial, you’ll need to pay $5 per month or $30 per year for EA Access on Xbox One or Origin Access on PC. You can then download it at no additional charge.
I’ve put some time into Mass Effect: Andromeda, and I think it’s probably a good idea to give the game a shot before you buy it. It is a lot more of what made the original trilogy on the last generation of consoles so popular: sci-fi gunfights, telekinetic abilities, and branching conversations with other characters. But it is also starting to feel maybe a little old because BioWare hasn’t done a lot to advance those familiar staples. On top of that, some of the technology for Mass Effect: Andromeda looks weak. Human faces look bizarre and stiff.

So, yeah, give it a shot on EA/Origin Access, and then when you finish the trial, you can download any game from the Access Vault that you want. Those include past hits like Titanfall, Battlefield 4, and more.
