Three Startup Weekend companies present at DEMO

If you had 54 hours to get yourself from an idea to a DEMO booth, do you think you could do it?

On the evening of September 9, scores of developers and business folks gathered to create businesses over the course of a few days. By Sunday evening, three teams had emerged as winners and had just a few more hours to prepare for presenting their nascent products at DEMO Fall 2011.

Startup Weekend occurs periodically in the Bay Area and elsewhere around the world; however, the most recent installment was called Mega Startup Weekend. It saw a record number of attendees and focused on three main verticals: health, education and gaming.

We caught up with a few of the Startup Weekend finalists at DEMO, where they were given a special section of the DEMO pavilion to show off their ideas. We also got to hear from Startup Weekend’s Ahmed Siddiqui, who coordinates Bay Area Startup Weekend events.
