Apple today updated its website to reflect that a larger amount of iCloud cloud-based data storage — 2TB — is now available.
That amount of storage costs $19.99 a month, according to the page. (Hat tip to 9to5Mac for reporting the news.)
The number of GB — 100 — that you get per dollar for this new tier is exactly in line with the second highest tier of 1TB, which costs $9.99 a month. For lower tiers — 50GB for $0.99/month and 200GB for $2.99/month — the price is better. Apple lowered its iCloud prices last year and the year before that. Apple has never offered an unlimited iCloud storage tier.
Amazon, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive offer unlimited storage tiers for certain types of customers.

In iOS 10, which will be released in the coming weeks, the iCloud Drive app for iOS shows the desktop folder from your Mac.
Like Apple Music, the iCloud service falls under Apple’s growing Services category. In the second quarter of Apple’s 2016 fiscal year the category brought in almost $6 billion — up 20 percent year over year — out of $51.97 billion in revenue for the quarter.
