Back in 2010, I interviewed a handful of promotional models at the Electronics Entertainment Expo trade show to hear what they thought about working such a gig. Most of them responded that it was fun and that they met a lot of nice, interesting people. Then, I asked them about having to take pictures with a bunch of sweaty conference attendees. It turns out, they had a lot of passionate opinions on that subject, and I decided to (finally) compile their responses into a short video.
We’ve already seen countless photo galleries of these and other women dressed up in video game-themed costumes. Instead, I was more interested in hearing if they’ve ever contracted “nerd shoulder” syndrome and what their best methods for prevention are.
For those uninitiated, NSS is transmitted when deodorant-deficient dudes place their pits around the shoulders of booth babes for photo ops and then end up leaving their stench behind.
This isn’t hard-hitting journalism, but whatever. My last video featured senior citizens who still devoutly play Wii Sports bowling almost six years after the game’s release.
