Microsoft’s Build developer conference will return next year on March 30 through April 1 in San Francisco. The company’s chief developer evangelist Steven Guggenheimer announced the dates on Twitter, asking developers “to see the future of Microsoft and technology.”
While the dates of the conference are now official, other details are scarce. The official Microsoft Build website merely has the location (Moscone Center in San Francisco, as always), a mention to “save the date,” and a call to join the mailing list.
The schedule, pricing, or even when you’ll be able to reserve your ticket are unavailable. But you can bet once tickets go on sale, they’ll sell out quickly. They always do.

Rumors earlier this year, based on a listing on the Moscone website, suggested the dates would be March 29 to March 31. Apparently Microsoft really wanted to include April Fools’ Day in there. Thankfully, it falls at the end of the event.
We’re expecting many corny jokes.
Update on January 13: Microsoft has announced that registration for Build opens on January 19 at 9 a.m. Pacific.
