Bloodborne is Dark Souls developer's PlayStation 4 debut

LOS ANGELES — Bloodborne is not a Souls game, but it looks pretty damn close to one.

The bloody third-person action game comes to the PS4 via From Software, the same creators behind the popular Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls games. Publisher Sony showed off a trailer for Bloodborne at its annual press conference for the Electronic Entertainment Expo today. In the video, a mysterious warrior fought off vicious creatures of the night, cleaving heads in two with his giant sword and shooting them up close.

The announcement confirms that the “Project Beast” footage that leaked a few weeks ago on YouTube is real. It featured a similar-looking hero-fighting off monsters. You can see that here:
