Update: Company of Heroes 2 is now only $44.99 for the Steam key version after coupon code GFDOCT25
Tuesday is the traditional release of most video games (and basically all CDs/DVDs), but we’re sure someone from Relic wanted Company of Heroes 2 to release on June 22nd to coincide with the 112th anniversary of Operation Barbarossa. That would have made Company of Heroes 2 a Saturday release – probably a big marketing no-no for the best sales results. They picked Tuesday for optimum media attention and buying volume. Nevertheless, they picked the closest Tuesday release date to the opening of the Germans’ surprise attack (we’re totally not over thinking this).
If you’re looking to pick up a copy of the latest real time strategy game, don’t surrender to the full $59.99 list price. GameFly has big instant savingsfor Company of Heroes 2 dropping the price down to $44.99 and saving you $25 on the Steam activated version.

This Tuesday saw the release of the last Borderlands 2 DLC pack: Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. It’s the fourth DLC to release in the Season Pass, which has kept campaign content fresh since its September 2012 release. If you don’t have the Season Pass, you can buy the latest DLC for $9.99, but GameFly’s coupon code comes to the rescue again here, dropping the price to to $45.
If you don’t own any titles in the Borderlands series, Amazon has a deal for you this week. Their Borderlands 2 Bundleganza just came down in price to $22. This PC download bundle includes Borderlands GOTY Edition and Borderlands 2, along with its Season Pass – a great deal considering the cheapest Season Pass online right now is $24. If you don’t really care about the extra content or you already have the original Borderlands, the Borderlands 2 base game is only $10 from Mac Game Store (and it works on PC, too).
