Nintendo’s Nindies Summer Showcase highlighted 20 new games coming to the Switch from independent developers. Part of its strategy for its hit console has been to highlight third-party titles, including popular indies like Overcooked. Its announcement today includes fan favorites like the upcoming Super Meat Boy Forever and the Shovel Knight: King of Cards campaign.

Super Meat Boy Forever
It’s been nearly seven years since Super Meat Boy squished onto the scene with its cartoony gore, fast-paced platforming, and saw blade deaths. Its sequel, Super Meat Boy Forever, is an auto-runner instead of a platformer, and it looks to be just as frenetic as the first.

Shovel Knight: King of Cards
The 2014 Shovel Knight is a retro side-scroller done right — after raising funds on Kickstarter, it went on to sell over 1.2 million copies. Developer Yacht Club Games had promised three character campaigns, and King of Cards is the last of them. In addition to the usual platforming action, it’ll feature card battles against future foes you’ll meet later on in combat.
Mom Hid My Game
Mom Hid My Game, also known as Hidden My Game by Mom, started out as an iOS and Android release. The objective is simple. Mom hid your game — so find it!
Golf Story
Sidebar Games’ Golf Story mashes up role-playing games with the putting green. Each of the towns is set up like a round of miniature golf, and you’ll have to tee up to solve puzzles.
Floor Kids
If Just Dance doesn’t cut it for you, then Floor Kids offers an alternative solution. It’s a rhythm game about breakdancing with funky fresh hand-drawn characters.
Wulverblade
Wulverblade is a side-scrolling beat-’em-up set in ancient Britain. The game might throw a history lesson or two at you, but you’ll be throwing punches at Roman soldiers and laying siege to their forts.
Poly Bridge
Poly Bridge combines engineering challenges with calming low-poly art as you try to build bridges that won’t collapse instantly into the placid waters beneath.
Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition
Kentucky Route Zero is like an urban legend come to life. It’s a point-and-click game that explores metaphysical weirdness in the South. A tale told in five acts, its last chapter is finally coming out in early 2018 on consoles and Steam.
Earth Atlantis
Pixel Perfex‘s Earth Atlantis has a treasure map aesthetic and is all about hunting down monster-machine hybrids in a world that’s almost completely underwater.
Next Up Hero
Next Up Hero joins the other co-op games in the Switch library. It’s a multiplayer game that pits you and your team against bosses and arms you with rocket launchers, boomerangs, and laser turrets.
SteamWorld Dig 2
The Western-meets-steampunk world of SteamWorld Dig 2 serves up action-adventure platforming along with some good ol’ fashioned mining.
Mulaka
Mulaka is a 3D action adventure set in a beautiful northern Mexican landscape. You play as Sukurúame, a shaman from a group of indigenous people called the Tarahumara, and you solve puzzles to try to cleanse the land of corruption.
Yono and the Celestial Elephants
Yono and the Celestial Elephants has you solving puzzles, bumrushing enemies, and breathing fire through your trunk in a fairytale world. It’ll be out on October 12.
Dragon: Marked for Death

Dragon: Marked for Death is a side-scrolling action game that has single-player and multiplayer mode. It’s got a retro look to it and fantasy elements, like witches and, of course, dragons.
Battle Chef Brigade
Trinket Studios’ Battle Chef Brigade combines dungeon-crawling with Iron Chef. After you hunt monsters for rare ingredients, the culinary challenge begins back in the kitchen where you’ll solve puzzles to perfect your recipes.
Morphies Law
Morphies Law is a 4-v-4 shooter starring shapeshifting robots. When you land a shot on an opponent, you steal their mass, and the team with the tallest player wins at the end.
Sausage Sports Club
Physics games are alive and well. Sausage Sports Club flings you and up to eight other players into minigames like soccer and capture the flag. There’s also a four-player adventure mode. Also, there are a lot of hot dogs.
Light Fingers
Light Fingers is a multiplayer game in which players take turns trying to get the most treasure. Part board game and part Game of Thrones opening montage, you’ll play cards, set traps, and defeat dungeons.
Nine Parchments
Nine Parchments is a co-op game that casts aside melee for magic. Up to four people can play as a team of wizards adventuring through a fantasy landscape and fighting monsters.
No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again
Travis Strikes Again blurs the lines of unreality by throwing Travis, the hero of No More Heroes, into the world of Hotline Miami.
