Cosplay — like any hobby — has its ups, its downs, and occasionally, its Birdos. But every once in a while, someone knocks the costuming out of the park, and that’s exactly what French cosplayers “Shoko” and “Jérôme” have done with this War costume from the original Darksiders game.
The piece debuted earlier this year at the Made in Asia 2012 video game expo in Brussels, Belgium. You can see the armor and especially the sword in greater detail in this video, though be warned: it’s not alone.
In addition to the collaborative Darksiders effort, Shoko also has some excellent Final Fantasy XII and Wild Flower cosplay. You can find a couple of those shots in the gallery below (as well as a reference image of War in-game), and more on her DeviantArt page.
