If only life were like a video game — well, according to the ousted chief executive officer of Groupon, it is.
The local-deal company Groupon shed its chief executive officer Andrew Mason yesterday, which led to him writing a letter to say farewell to his employees. In the letter, he claims that he is accountable for the company’s current state, that he hopes the world will give it another chance, and that he thinks his time with the company is comparable to the 8-bit beat-em-up Battletoads.
“If Groupon was Battletoads,” said Mason. “It would be like I made it all the way to the Terra Tubes without dying on my first ever play through.”
