Nintendo has never made a real, core Pokémon for one of its home consoles, so we’ve never seen what the series would look like if it were running on a modern graphics engine. But thanks to the Unreal Engine, we have an idea.
YouTube user CryZenx has put together a demonstration of what the Pokémon Charmander would look like if he were running around a highly detailed field. He even runs into his buddies, Bulbasaur and Squirtle. This is a bare-bones demo, and it really only ports Pokémon models into an existing Unreal environment, but it still gives you an idea of what a fully realized HD Pokémon game might look like.
