Specifically, Kongregate is launching a game incubation program called Launchpad that’s designed to help small developers bring their web-based games to mobile. Kongregate promises to give developers resources and tools to help bring their games to the mobile market, which could be worth $30 billion this year, according to research firm Newzoo.

Kongregate noted in a press release to GamesBeat that two of its most successful mobile games, Tyrant Unleashed and AdVenture Capitalist, originated as web games.

“The Launchpad program is designed to fund innovative content from small teams through a similar web-to-mobile strategy,” said Emily Greer, president and co-founder of Kongregate, in the press release. “It’s faster and cheaper to build games for web, and that allows us to break the mold of publishers looking for projects near completion in limited genres and styles.”
