In a flurry of holiday blockbusters, two Triple-As will head to the release doors next week Tuesday on November 18th: BioWare’s Dragon Age: Inquisition and Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4. While the two titles diverge in genre, they are both sequels to storied franchises and eagerly anticipated by long-time loyalists and neophytes alike.
If you’ve read through the reviews and have made up your mind on the game (Inquisition gets an 87/100 from GamesBeat), here are some of the last-minute preorder deals to browse through before release. Retailers are of course springing up discounts and bonuses to incentivize your purchase.

Astute gamers will notice a recurring theme here. For digital/PC download, GMG often has decent before-launch prices, even if they are Triple-As such as Dragon Age: Inquisition or Far Cry 4. Console gamers on Xbox One/360 always get the best incentive at the platform’s official storefront, while PS4/PS3 owners are usually relegated to Best Buy as the only place with monetary preorder bonuses.
Strangely for Inquisition, the $15 Xbox points or $10 gift card offer is missing for Xbox 360 owners – and no matter the platform you’re thinking of, Inquisition is also missing the $10 Rewards bonus from Best Buy (although they are included under Best Buy’s November 18th midnight store opening promotion).
To claim the $15 Xbox points, all you have to do is sign up for Xbox Live Rewards here and make sure you use the same email address when you checkout at the Microsoft Store. Until January, all preorders at the Microsoft Store net you 15,000 Xbox points ($15 worth) versus the standard $10 bonus. Not too shabby at all.
Preorder bonuses for Dragon Age: Inquisition include the Flames of Inquisition weaponry set (which we wrote about at length back in June). For Far Cry 4, if you purchase from Best Buy, you’ll get upgraded to the Limited Edition which includes three additional single-player missions along with an impaler harpoon gun.
Preload has been live for Dragon Age: Inquisition since last week, and the download is about 23.8GB. If you preorder from GMG above, they will send two keys to you after you complete your purchase – one key for the game and one for the preorder bonus Flames of Inquisition DLC.
