Are our favorite game characters actually good, or is that just a ploy to get us to like them? If you really think about it, they’re actually pretty awful. Consider just how many people they have to kill, how many awful things they do in the course of the game’s story. In The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, players are mass-murdering thieves with the psychotic compulsion to take everything. Uncharted’s Nathan Drake kills hundreds of people around the world, generally locals, and blows up buildings and landmarks only to find some lost treasure.
And don’t even get me started on Pokémon.
