Nintendo has unleashed its first mobile Mario game on Android.
After months of waiting, folks who choose an Android lifestyle over Apple can finally enjoy the latest adventures of Nintendo’s squat Italian plumber. Super Mario Run is available to download now from the Google Play Store. You can play the first three levels for no cost. But to unlock the full game, you’ll have to pay a one-time $10 fee.

Super Mario Run is a platforming game where Mario runs on his own and jumps over minor obstacles automatically, but players have to tap the screen to collect coins and to jump on the heads of Goombas and Koopas.
Like the New Super Mario Bros. series that started on the DS, it features 3D visuals from a 2D perspective. And much of the look and feel of Super Mario Run comes directly from New Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Run originally debuted on iOS in December where it quickly shot to the top of the download and grossing charts. But Nintendo’s focus on the $10 price in lieu of microtransactions means that the game has fallen well out of the top 50 on that platform in terms of both the number of downloads and how much money it is making. That’s opposed to Fire Emblem: Heroes, Nintendo’s first free-to-play game, which has regularly bounced back up into the top 20 in terms of revenues.
