IDA has a wholly-owned subsidiary, Infocomm Investments Pte Ltd (IIPL), which builds and invests in Singapore and global infocomm technology start-ups. Managing more than S$200 million, IIPL accelerates the development of start-ups in their formative phase, and invests further as they move forward with growth and expansion. An overseas office was set up in Silicon Valley in April 2001 to serve as a go-to-resource for US companies wishing to explore business and partnership opportunities in Singapore and Asia.
