It looks like Amazon is no longer depriving its customers of being able to preorder new DVD and Blu-ray movies produced by Warner Bros. before they hit retail shelves.
Amazon first stopped preorders on WB movies last month after the two companies were unable to renegotiate a contract that would net Amazon more money on these products. For example, The Lego Movie was tragically unavailable for preorder, as VentureBeat previously reported.
While we don’t know if Amazon has actually reached a deal with Warner Bros., the fact that the company has restored preorders is a sign that an agreement is in sight.
This isn’t the only recent dispute Amazon has had with one of its product partners. The company is also currently feuding with major book publisher Hachette. It has stopped preorders on all new Hachette books, eliminated discounts on those books, and removed Hachette products from its recommendation services.
