Real-time news platform Nuzzel has updated a rather old method of networking to help you better reach your fans. The company now supports email newsletters which are automatically generated based on your Nuzzel feed.

For many accustomed to keeping up with the news in their respective industries, sharing content on Twitter and Facebook seems most natural. But studies suggest that 95 percent of your fans and followers may never see what’s posted on these social networks, whereas they will in an email.

unnamedNuzzel was started by Jonathan Abrams, founder of one of the original social networks — Friendster. Abrams built his new venture as a social news aggregator that competes alongside the likes of Newsle (acquired by LinkedIn), Flipboard, and Apple News. And while the service still curates content it thinks you might find interesting, it’s now extending that offering to your followers and letting you manage that relationship, all within a single platform.

The social newsletters are available for not only your fans who are Nuzzel users, but also non-users, or even those without Twitter accounts. Abrams told VentureBeat that the service will assemble the newsletter using your own account so you won’t have to do any real work to create or edit it. Subscribers will receive daily recommendations of content that you (as an influencer) find interesting.

Newsletters differ from a user’s personal digests with additional features — like the ability of administrators to import contacts and invite other people to subscribe. There’s also the ability to customize the introductory message for each newsletter on a daily basis. Analytics are even provided to enable you to help you keep track of your followers.

There’s no cost to create these newsletters.
