Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has announced that its new flagship OnePlus 5T smartphone will launch at an event in Brooklyn, New York, on November 16.
While all will be revealed about the OnePlus 5T in exactly 10 days time, we do already know for sure that it will come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The launch comes five months after OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 5 at an event in London. The Brooklyn event will be the first time OnePlus has hosted a keynote in New York, but, curiously, the company is charging $40 to attend the event in person, which you can purchase online through this page from November 8. It’s certainly an unusual arrangement — expecting fans to cough up 40 bucks to attend what is essentially a promotional event. Alternatively, you can save your $40 and watch online for free (presumably) through a livestream.
Some markets will open for preorders as early as November 16; however, the official sales will kick off through OnePlus’s online store on November 21 at 6 a.m. PT.
