The Pebble Time is now available worldwide for order at pebble.com. It’s the first time the widely discussed smartwatch has become available to the general public.
The device isn’t yet available in stores, but will become so the week of August 17. Both Best Buy and Target will sell the Time, although in U.S. stores only.
The Time is Pebble’s third smartwatch. It debuted in late February. It offers some significant feature improvements over earlier Pebbles, like a colorful e-paper display; an updated, notification-centric OS; a “20 percent thinner” design; and a Gorilla Glass screen.
The device went into preorder on Kickstarter in May for $159. It now sells for $199.
