Nokia’s first (and perhaps last) Android smartphone won’t be available in North America.
Microsoft is still buying Nokia’s phone division, but that didn’t stop the Finnish company from jumping in bed with the competition. At the 2014 Mobile World Congress today, Nokia revealed the Nokia X, X+, and XL, three low-cost smartphones that run a modified version of Android. The price starts at a low €89 — approximately $122.
Unfortunately, if you dreamed of owning a Lumia-inspired Android phone, you’re out of luck in the US; these devices reportedly won’t make their way to North America, Japan, Korea, or Western European countries.
