At about 9:31 a.m. PST today (12:31 p.m. EST), Facebook went down. This is the second time the social network has gone down in just a week.
VB staff from across the world confirmed they couldn’t reach the social network. Some are seeing a generic “Service Unavailable” error, but most are seeing a “Sorry, something went wrong.” message followed by “We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.” This is of course a placeholder page.
A quick check at DownForEveryoneOrJustMe confirmed the issue was widespread: “It’s not just you! http://facebook.com looks down from here.”
