South Park doesn’t get PewDiePie, either.
Tonight’s episode of South Park took on YouTube’s video game commentators. These are people, like the popular PewDiePie, who talk (or scream) over gameplay videos while earning quite a bit of money from Google’s revenue sharing. Naturally, Eric Cartman wanted to get in on the action. But instead of commenting on games, Cartman decided to comment on people commenting on games.
Watch the episode right here:
While Cartman was trying to maximize his subscribers, Kyle and Stan are left wondering why Stan’s little brother Ike and his toddler friends spend all their time watching other people playing video games.
“Video games are meant to be played in the living room,” Kyle tells Ike and his friends. “Not something to watch people comment on.”
This leads to the toddlers calling Kyle, who is in fourth grade, a “grandpa” for not getting what the younger kids are into.
“We’re not being grandpas,” Kyle goes on to say. “Your guys’ stuff is just seriously lame. Our generation’s stuff is cool.”
